Golden Hearts
Process
Who Cares? The campaign’s goal is to increase awareness of unpaid dementia caregivers with the goal of persuading caregivers to take action to avoid burnout and relieve stress. Furthermore, many caregivers are uninformed of their duty as caregivers and are unaware that there is aid and advice accessible to them. I performed research on dementia and unpaid caregivers to have a better knowledge of my target market.
Golden Hearts utilizes three media channels: an awareness video, a web app, and a poster.

Programs used:
• Adobe Photoshop
• Adobe XD
• Adobe After Effects
• Adobe Media Encoder
• Anima
• C4D
• Mixamo
Adobe XD
I have been curious about the Adobe XD for a while now and decided to learn more about it. I learned how to prototype and create UI elements.
Animated slider design
I designed an animated calculator interface in XD for better user experience.
QR code as a design element
My research shows that the stress unpaid dementia carers experience is often due to a lack of time and information. Therefore, I decided to utilise a large QR code as a central element of the poster for ease of access. Also, I added the heart symbol to the code to keep the design consistent across all three platforms.
Customising the QR
I added the campaign colour schemes and elements to the QR code to make it consistent across all platforms and easily recognizable by the audiences.
Character rigging
I used Mixamo characters and added custom motion systems to those in C4D.
Golden Hearts video
I modelled low-poly golden hearts in C4D and rendered a few smaller image sequences which I then composited in After Effects.
Red or gold?
At first, I decided to make the swarming smaller hearts red. However, I acted upon my peers' feedback and changed the material to gold because the red reminded my audience of the Spiderman character :)
